In march 2010 I leaded a group in Rajasthan for a well known italian agency. During one of the transferts, actually between Jhodpur and Bikaner, right in the middle of Taar desert, I noticed the scene of which you can see the fotos below. I told the driver to stop immediately and the whole group and me got off the bus to have a closer view of this unusual school. About one hundred children, all strictly in their uniform, were seating on the sand listening to a unique teacher standing in front of them... Nearby a big shack, was their school with no chairs, no tables, no blackboard, no walls...
Building this school that greets more than one hundred between 6 and 12 years old is one of the "very" next projects of Smiling Angel. I promised this to the teacher, to the children who were looking at us astonished and also to the participants of that group who promised me their close cooperation in this new adventure.
